Matematik Öğretmen Adaylarının Matematiksel Problem Kurma ve Problem Çözme Becerilerinin Belirlenmesi

Öz:

Problem çözme, matematik eğitiminde önemli bir etkinlik olarak görülür. Ancak, matematik eğitimcileri günümüzde öğrencilerin problemlerle baş etme becerilerinin geliştirilmesi için problem kurma etkinliklerine de büyük önem vermektedirler. Bu nedenle, bu çalışmada matematik öğretmeni adaylarının problem çözme ve problem kurma becerileri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bunun için, matematik öğretmeni adaylarına 5 tane açık uçlu sorudan oluşan "Matematiksel Problem Çözme ve Problem Kurma Testi" verilmiştir. Araştırmanın verilerinin analizi sonucunda, matematik öğretmeni adaylarının genellikle problemleri çözdükleri ancak verilen problemler ve çözümlerden hareketle yeni problemler kuramadıkları belirlenmiştir.

Identification of Mathematical Problem Posing and Problem Solving Skills for Prospective Mathematics Teachers'

Öz:

Problem solving has long been seen as an important activity in mathematics education. However; nowadays, problem posing or problem finding by students has also gained greater attention among mathematics educators. Therefore, the purpose of the present study was an attempt to identify prospective mathematics teachers' problem solving and problem posing skills. To do that, a 5 item open-ended "Mathematical Problem Solving and Problem Posing Test" was administered to prospective mathematics teachers. Results showed that prospective mathematics teachers usually solved problems but they did not know to pose new problems with the help of these solutions and original problems.
