Türkiye’de Bir Kızıl Tilkide (Vulpes vulpes) Felicola (Suricatoecus) vulpis (Phthiraptera: Trichodectidae) Enfestasyonunun İlk Bildirimi

Türkiye’de Bir Kızıl Tilkide (Vulpes vulpes) Felicola (Suricatoecus) vulpis (Phthiraptera: Trichodectidae) Enfestasyonunun İlk Bildirimi
Öz: Trafik kazası sonucu ölmüş olarak Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Parazitoloji Anabilim Dalı’na, getirilen bir kızıl tilkinin (Vulpes vulpes) makroskobik muayenesinde ektoparazit enfestasyonu tespit edilmiştir. Toplanan kene, bit ve pire örnekleri %70’lik alkolde muhafaza edilmiştir. Mikroskobik incelemede kene örneklerinin Haemaphysalis erinacei (Acari: Ixodidae), pire örneklerinin Chaetopsylla globiceps (Siphonaptera; Vermipsyllidae), bit örneklerinin ise Felicola (Suricatoecus) vulpis (Phthiraptera: Trichodectidae) olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan bu çalışma ile Türkiye’de tilkilerde ilk defa Felicola (Suricatoecus) vulpis tespit edilmiştir.

Öz: Ectoparasite infestation was detected in a macroscopic examination of a red fox (Vulpes vulpes) that was brought dead to the Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Ondokuz Mayıs University Collected tick, lice and flea samples were preserved in 70% alcohol. It was determined in microscopic examination that tick samples were Haemaphysalis erinacei (Acari: Ixodidae), flea samples were Chaetopsylla globiceps (Siphonaptera; Vermipsyllidae) and chewing lice samples were Felicola (Suricatoecus) vulpis (Phthiraptera: Trichodectidae). This study first reported the existence of Felicola (Suricatoecus) vulpis from foxes in Turkey.
