AB  - A smut species, Anthracocystis penniseti (Rabenh.) McTaggart & R.G. Shivas (Ustilaginaceae) on Pennisetum orientale Rich. (Poaceae) is reported for the first time from Turkey. The morphological and microscopical features of this fungi are described with figures.
