Öz:

Bu çalışma, küçük bir gruba dersi anlatıp, bunu video çekimiyle kaydedip, üzerinde yetkililerle tartıştıktan sonra, aynı dersi bütün sınıfa anlatmanın daha sağlıklı bir yol olacağı hipotezinden hareketle, mikroöğretimin İngilizce öğretmen adaylarını okullardaki öğretmenlik uygulaması sırasında mesleklerine hazırlarken,profesyonel gelişimlerine katkıda bulunmak amacıyla geneneksel yöntemde dersi hep bütün sınıfa anlatmaya nazaran daha güvenilir ve etkin bir teknik olarak kullanıp kullanamayacağımızı ölçmek amaçlıdır. Alınan sonuçlar, geleneksel öğretime nazaran, mikroöğretimin, daha sağlıklı ve etkili bir şekilde öğretmen adaylarını mesleklerine hazırladığını ortaya koymuştur.

Öğretmen Adaylarının Okullardaki Öğretmenlik Uygulamaları Sırasında Geleneksel Öğretmenlik Uygulamasıyla Mikroöğretim Uygulamasının Karşılaştırılması

Öz:

This study examines how microteaching in Teaching English as a foreign language affects the success of student teachers’ teaching compared to traditional language teaching techniques. That is, the students in those groups tried to teach in a traditional way; only doing macro teaching by teaching the whole class all the time. A questionnaire was applied to the students in the experimental group to get their comments on microteaching sessions. Data collected both from the questionnaire and the observation forms were statistically analyzed through SPSS and mean scores of each item were listed in the table. Overall results indicate that microteaching is more affective than traditional teaching, macro teaching alone, in teaching English as a foreign language in high schools, if the required equipment and atmosphere are provided.
