Use in Neuroscience and Psychiatry Nursing

Öz:
Neuroscience, which started with the discovery of neurons and is one of the popular approaches of today, is a discipline in which there is a complementary relationship between biological and psychological sciences. The increase in anatomical and physiological information about the brain and the ability to examine the brain with imaging findings have enabled the understanding of neural connections and psychopathology. Thus, by integrating the psychosocial and neurobiological approach, psychiatry’s progress towards becoming a positive science was paved. In parallel with these developments in the field of psychiatry, biological approaches in psychiatric nursing have gained importance in practice as well as in theory. Our understanding of the relationship between neuroscience and psychiatric nursing; Monitoring the effects of psychopharmacological treatments, psychotherapies and psychotherapeutic interventions with neuroimaging will contribute to our understanding of care and improving neuroplasticity by examining the neural mechanisms of mental and behavioral activities, or more generally the relationships between the brain, mind and action. For this purpose, the review includes the development of neuroscience, paradigm change in psychiatry, neuroscience in psychiatric diseases and treatments, the use of neuroscience in psychiatric nursing, and related research.
