Optical Properties of Polymer-Based CAD/CAM Materials

Öz:
The choice of materials compatible with dental tissues plays a major role in the clinical success of restorative materials used in dentistry. It is of great importance to know the optical properties of these materials, such as translucence, hue, chroma opalescence, in order to fabricate restorations that are in harmony with natural teeth. In order to meet the aesthetic indications, different CAD/CAM materials have been introduced to the market. Color of polymer-based CAD/CAM materials could be affected by matrix or monomer composition, chemical composition, filler size or filler volume, etc. or material-related differences, as well as clinical factors such as background color, cement and other material-related properties. The aim of this review was to evaluate the studies about optical properties of polymer-based CAD/CAM materials to provide a better understanding
