Vitre İçi Opasitelerde Vitrektomi

Öz:
Vitre içi opasitelerde pars plana vitrektomi (PPV) cerrahisi hasta memnuniyetini artıran etkili bir tedavi yöntemidir. Ancak PPV cerrahisinin beraberinde getirdiği riskler nedeniyle vitreus içi yüzen cisimlerde (floater) uygulanması tartışmalıdır. Bunun yerine vitre içi yüzen cisimlerde 25 gauge trokarlarla sütürsüz, minimal invaziv PPV cerrahisi uygulanması riskleri azaltabilir. Cerrahi tedavi için PPV’nin getireceği risk ve yarar dengesinin değerlendirilerek uygun hastaların seçilip tedavinin uygulanması önem arz etmektedir.

Öz:
Pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) surgery in vitreous opacities is an effective treatment method that increases patient satisfaction. However, due to the risks associated with PPV surgery, its application in vitreous floaters is controversial. Instead, performing sutureless, minimally invasive PPV surgery with 25 gauge trocars on floaters may reduce the risks. For surgical treatment, it is important to select appropriate patients, evaluation of the risk and benefit balance of PPV, and application of the treatment.
