COVID-19 Pandemisinde Cinsel Sağlık ve Üreme Sağlığı Sorunlarına Ebe Odaklı Yaklaşım

COVID-19 Pandemisinde Cinsel Sağlık ve Üreme Sağlığı Sorunlarına Ebe Odaklı Yaklaşım
Öz: Yeni tip koronavirüs salgınının maternal ve neonatal mortalite ve morbidite riskinin, karşılanmamış aile planlaması ihtiyacının, güvenli olmayan küretajların artması gibi cinsel ve üreme
sağlığı hizmetlerinde önemli problemlere sebep olacağı düşünülmektedir. Cinsel sağlık ve üreme sağlığı hakkı, acilen, adaletli ve devamlı olacak şekilde hizmet ve yatırım gerektiren, kamu
sağlığı meseleleri içerisinde önem arz eden bir durumdur. Dolayısı ile pandemi dönemlerinde
temel cinsel ve üreme sağlığı hizmetlerindeki sorunların saptanması gerekmektedir. Ebelerin
özellikle pandemi dönemlerinde görev alanlarında çalışması ve görev alanında çalışan ebelerinde riskli grupları belirleyip, daha fazla cinsel ve üreme sağlığı hizmetini ulaştırmak için çaba
sarf etmesi gerekmektedir. Böylece pandeminin kadınlar, aileler ve toplum üzerindeki yıkıcı
etkileri olabilecek sağlık sistemi aksaklıkları önlenebilir. Bu derleme makalede; pandeminin
kadınlar üzerindeki etkisini vurgulamak, salgından kaynaklanabilecek cinsel ve üreme sağlığı
hizmetlerindeki problemleri ortaya koymak ve problemlerin çözümüne ilişkin öneriler sunmak
amaçlanmıştır

Öz: The new type of coronavirus epidemic is thought to cause significant problems in sexual and
reproductive health services, such as maternal and neonatal mortality and morbidity risk, unmet need for family planning, and increased unsafe curettage. The right to sexual and reproductive health is a situation that requires urgent, fair, and continuous service and investment
and is important in public health issues. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the problems
in basic sexual and reproductive health services during pandemic periods. Midwives should
work in their fields of duty, especially during pandemic periods; identify risky groups in midwives working in the field; and make an effort to provide more sexual and reproductive health
services. In this way, health system failures that can have devastating effects on women,
families, and society can be prevented. This review article aims to emphasize the effect of the
pandemic on women, reveal the problems in sexual and reproductive health services that may
arise from the epidemic, and offer suggestions for solving the problems.
