TI  - THE EFFECT OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON THE TOURISM SECTOR: A QUALITATIVE RESEARCH ON THE NEWS IN THE TOURISM PRESS
AB  - The Covid-19 pandemic, one of the most influential events of the 21st century, made its impact felt in many areas and had a huge negative impact on the tourism industry. In this research, the effects of covid-19 pandemic on tourism sector of Turkey was tried to determine by descriptive and content analysis of news published in tourism written press interested in Covid-19 pandemic. Data research was collected from newspapers called as Turizm Gazetesi, Turizm Güncel and Turizm Günlüğü which publish news related to tourism sector in Turkey. The news published in above-mentioned newspapers including the current affairs in Turkey tourism sector related to and pandemic covid-19 pandemic arised, were analysed by using a qualitative data analysis package program. As a result of analysis, it was seen that similar news were made in these newspapers, as well as different news. When the content of news were examined, it was determined that in Turkey after pandemic mostly, the news were published related to lawful regulation, the economic losses in the sector of the pandemic and opinions and predictions about how the sector will turn out after the pandemic
