Quality of life, a multi-dimensional concept; social welfare and standards of living have become increasingly important for planning and development. Studies of quality of life were first made in sociology; over time, the importance of the concept has been recognized and it has begun to be investigated in areas such as economy, politics, and health. The concept of quality of life, which has recently started to be attracted to tourism sector which is a branch of social sciences, has been explored on psychological and physical health dimensions and tourist guides. Tourist guide is one of the most important citizens of the country that the tourist has encountered after the airport officials, who will give the first impression of the country about the country and who is trying to introduce the country in the best way. Because tourists think about the destination is largely shaped by the perception of tourist guide. It is important that the working conditions and quality of life are high so that the guide can provide quality service. The aim of this research is to determine the working conditions of tourist guides in Turkey and quality of life levels, perception of quality of life is depicted in the tourist guides. For this purpose, in-depth interviews with 35 tourist guides, one of the qualitative research methods, were conducted. The data obtained by the semi-structured interview form were analyzed with Maxqda Analytics Pro 2018 program. The sub- themes used in the analyzes were created according to the literature and the codes were created according to the answers of the participants. As a result of the research, it was revealed that the guides thought that they live a quality life despite their physical health and psychology, legal rights, and security problems.
