Periodontal tedavide antibiyotiklerin kullanımı

Öz:
Bu makalede; periodontal tedavide antibiyotik kullanımında son 20 yılda yapılmış çalışmaların değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Böylece a) ilave antibiyotik tedavisi ne zaman endike olabilir? b) hangi antibiyotik en etkili olabilir? c) kullanılacak antibiyotik hangi dozda olmalıdır? sorularına yanıt bulmada klinisyenlere yardımcı olmak ümit edilmektedir.

Use of antibiotics in periodontal therapy

Öz:
The purpose of this article is to examine the existing literature for the last 20 years on the use of antibiotics in periodontal treatment. Hopefully, this will provide the clinician with some rationale to help decide a) whether an adjunctive antibiotic may be indicated, b) which antibiotic might be the most efficacious, c) what dosage to prescribe.
