Sismik izolasyon ve elastomerik yastık deneyleri

Öz:
Sismik izolasyon yönteminde amaç zemin ile yapının tabanı arasına esnek enerji sönümleyici elemanlar yerleştirerek zeminden yapıya aktarılan deprem kuvvetlerinin azaltılmasıdır. Bu bildiride sismik izolasyon yönteminin ana felsefesi, bir izolasyon sisteminin sahip olması gereken temel koşullar ve başlıca uygulama alanları kısaca özetlendikten sonra bu teknikte sıkça kullanılan elastomerik yastıkların önemli özellikleri tanımlanarak ODTÜ Yapı Mekaniği Laboratuvarı’nda bu tip yastıklar üzerinde yapılan deneysel çalışmalar sunulmaktadır.

Seismic isolation and experiments on elastomeric bearings

Öz:
The objective of seismic isolation technique is to reduce the seismic force transmitted from the soil to a structure by inserting flexible and dissipative elements below the foundation of the structure. In this study, after summarizing the main philosophy behind the technique, the fundamental requirements that an isolation system should have and the main applications of the technique, the main properties of elastomeric bearings, which are widely used in seismic isolation technique, are defined and the experimental studies carried out on these types of bearings on the Structural Mechanics Laboratory of the METU are presented.
