Pollen morphology of Turkish endemic Bolanthus (Ser.) Reichb. (Caryophyllaceae)
Öz: Türkiye için endemik olan dört Bolanthus (Ser.) Reichb. (Caryophyllaceae) taksonunun (B. minuartioides (Jaub.& Spach) Hub.-Mor., B. spergulifotius (Jaub.& Spach) Hub.-Mor,, B. thymoides Hub.-Mor. and B. frankenioides (Boiss,) var. fasciculatus) polen morfolojileri ışık mikroskobu ile ilk kez incelendi. B. minuartioides polenleri ayrıca elektron mikroskopları (SEM ve TEM) kullanılarak incelendi. Işık mikroskobu çalışmaları taksonların polenlerinin operkulumlu polipantoporat, sferoid ve tektat-perforat olduğunu gösterdi. B. minuartioides polenleri üzerinde gerçekleştirilen elektron mikroskobu çalışmaları ise ektekzinin porlar arasındaki bölgede spinüllü-mikroperforat olduğunu ve operkulum üzerinde köşeli elemanların bulunduğunu ortaya koydu. Porlar arasındaki bölgede ekzinin ince yapısı yer yer ufak delikler içeren kalın tektum ve taban tabakasına inceîerek ulaşan kolumellalar ile ince ve lameîli-granüllü endekzin ile karakterize edildi. Apertür bölgesinde ektekzinin altında kalın endekzinin yer aldığı gösterildi.

Öz: Pollen grains of four Turkish endemic Bolanthus (Ser.) Reichb» (Caryophyllaceae) taxa, B. minuartioides (Jaub.&Spach) Hub.-Mor., B. spergulifolius (Jaub.&Spach) Hub.-Mor., B. thymoides Hub.-Mor. andi?. frankenioides (Boiss.) Bark. var. fasciculatus, not studied hitherto, were examined by light microscope (LM) and also the first species by electron microscopes (SEM and TEM). LM observations reveal that pollen grains of the taxa are polypantoporate with operculum, spheroidal, tectate-perforate. Electron microscopical studies in B. minuartioides show that ektexine is spinulose-microperforate in the interporal zone. There are angular ektexine elements on operculum. Exine ultrastructure in the interporal area is characterized by thick tectum, columellae tapering, with internal foramina, and thin, lamellated- granular endexine. In the aperture area angular fleck of ektexine is underlain by ttnckened endexine.
