Kardiyopulmoner egzersiz testleri

Öz:
Solunumsal ve kardiyak fonksiyonları değerlendirmek için istirahatte yapılan ölçümlerin tek başına yeterli olmadığı anlaşılmıştır. Egzersiz kısıtlanmasının nedenleri araştırılırken, kardiyopulmoner egzersiz testleri (KPET) solunumsal ve kardiyovasküler sistemlerle birlikte kas-iskelet sistemi ve nörofizyolojik sistemlerin de değerlendirilebilmesine olanak sağlamaktadır. Bundan dolayı egzersiz kısıtlanmasının, egzersize bağlı oluşan semptomların, fonksiyonel kapasitenin ve yetersizliğin değerlendirilmesinde KPET’e olan ilgi artmaktadır.

Cardiopulmonary exercise testing

Öz:
The resting pulmonary and cardiac function testing cannot reliably predict exercise performance and functional capacity. Cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) provides to assesment of the pulmonary, cardiovascular, hematopoetic, neuropsychological, and skeletal muscle systems. Thus, CPET has gained increasing popularity for the evaluation of undiagnosed exercise intolerance and exercise related symptoms, and to reveal functional capacity and impairment.
