Önleyici Tedbirlere Uyumu Nasıl Arttırabiliriz? Kisisel ve Toplumsal Fayda Mesajlarının Etkisi

Öz:
Bu projenin hedefi kitle iletisim araçları ile topluma mesajlar vererek koronavirüse yönelik koruyucu tedbirlere uyulması konusunda yapılan çagrılarda insanların tutum ve davranıslarında etkili olabilecek bir saglık iletisimi yönteminin gelistirilmesidir. Bu hedef dogrultusunda mesajların içerigi, kaynagı ve hedefi açısından sosyal psikolojik dinamiklerin önleyici tedbirlere uyum üzerindeki etkilerini inceledik. Mesaj içerigi olarak bireysel çıkarlara yapılan vurgu ve farklı düzeylerdeki toplumsal çıkarlara yapılan vurgular (kendini koru, aileni koru, ülkeni koru, aileni ve ülkeni koru) kıyaslanmıstır. Mesajın kaynagı olarak bilim insanlarından veya devlet yetkililerinden mesaj almanın etkileri kıyaslanmıstır. Mesajın hedefi olarak ise algılanan risk, komplo teorilerine inanç, düsünme stilleri, belirsizlikten kaçınma ve dürtüsellik degiskenlerinin mesaj içerigi ve kaynagı açısından farklılasan kosulların önleyici tedbirlere uyma üzerindeki potansiyel düzenleyici rolleri arastırılmıstır. Bir pilot çalısma (Npilot = 1088) ve üç farklı deney gerçeklestirilmis (N1 = 451, N2 = 1716, N3 = 1063); böylece hem geçmisteki tutumlar ölçülerek davranıssal niyetler ve gerçek davranıslar grup içi desenle incelenmis hem de farklı deneysel kosulların etkileri gruplar arası bir desenle kıyaslanmıstır. Gerçeklestirilen istatistiksel analiz sonuçları katılımcıların önleyici tedbirlere uyum niyetlerinin zaman içinde azaldıgını göstermistir (pilot çalısma ve 1. deney). Ayrıca, mesajın kaynagı bilim kurulu oldugunda ?aileni ve ülkeni koru? mesaj içeriginin ?kendini koru? içerigine kıyasla daha fazla koruyucu tedbirlere uyma niyetini arttırmıs fakat mesajın kaynagı devlet yetkilileri oldugunda mesaj içeriginin anlamlı bir etkisi olmamıstır (2. deney). Son olarak, ?kendini koru? mesaj içerigi ?ülkeni koru? içerigine kıyasla daha fazla tedbirlere uyma niyeti arttırmıs ve mesaj içerigi ile mesaj kaynagı etkilesim göstererek bilim kurulu üyelerinden gelen ?kendini koru? mesajı ?ülkeni koru? mesajına kıyasla önleyici tedbirlere uyum niyetini daha fazla arttırmıstır (3. deney). Mesaj hedefinin bireysel psikolojik farklılıklarının ise anlamlı bir düzenleyici etkisi bulunamamıstır. Genel olarak bu bulgular bilim kurulu tarafından verilen mesajlarda insanların kendilerini ve sevdiklerini korumalarını vurgulayan mesajların önleyici tedbirlere uyumu arttırmada etkili oldugunu göstermektedir. Bulguları ilgili alanyazını çerçevesinde tartısarak etkili bir saglık iletisimiyle koronavirüse karsı önleyici tedbirlere uyumu arttırmanın yollarına yönelik önerilerde bulunuyoruz.
