Etik İklimin Örgütsel Vatandaşlık Davranışlarına Etkileri

Öz:
Örgütler üzerindeki pozitif etkisinden ötürü, Örgütsel Vatandaşlık Davranışları (ÖVD), araştırmacıların ilgisini ne kadar çok çekse de, Etik İklimin ÖVD üzerindeki etkileri hakkında göreceli olarak çok az şey bilmekteyiz. Bu çalışma ile Etik İklim ve ÖVD ile ilgili teorik ve ampirik gelişmeler değerlendirilmiş, ÖVD'nin yaygın kabul görmüş boyutları ile (Diğerlerini Düşünme, Nezaket Tabanlı Bilgilendirme, Gönüllülük ve Centilmenlik, İleri Görev Bilinci ve Örgütün Gelişimine Destek Verme) bu tür davranışların en önemli öncüllerinden olduğunu öngördüğümüz örgütlerin Etik İklim tiplerinin dokuz boyutu (Kişisel Çıkar, Kurum Çıkan, Verimlilik, Arkadaşlık, Takım Çıkan, Sosyal Sorumluluk, Kişisel Etik Kurallan, Kurumsal Etik Kurallan ile Kanunlar ve Mesleki Etik Kurallan) arasındaki ilişki, İstanbul'da telekomünikasyon sektöründe çalışan toplam 1174 kişi üzerinde yapılan bir anket çalışmasıyla sorgulanmıştır. Bu sayede örgüt etkinliğini ÖVD vasıtasıyla arttırmada etkili faktörler belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Sonuçlara göre, İyilikseverliğin hakim olduğu iklimler (Sosyal Sorumluluk, Arkadaşlık) ile İlkelilik iklimlerinin (Kurumsal Ahlak Kurallan, Kişisel Ahlak Kuralları) ÖVD'yi güçlü bir şekilde pozitif yönde etkilediği ortaya çıkmaktadır. Egoist İklimlerden, Verimliliğin ÖVD'yi pozitif, Kurum Çıkan ikliminin ise ÖVD'yi negatif yönde etkilediği, araştırmadan elde edilen diğer bulgular arasındadır.

The Influences of Ethical Climate on Organizational Citizenship Behaviors

Öz:
Organizational Citizenship Behaviors'(OCBs) positive impact on organizational effectiveness is a well known fact in different settings according to the past literature. However, studies on the effects of the Ethical Climate onOrganizational Citizenship Behaviors are surprsingly rare. This study reviews the theoretical and emprical studies about Ethical Climate and Organizational Citizenship Behaviors, and investigates the relationships among the nine dimensions of Ethical Climate (e.g. Self-interest, Company Profit, Efficiency, Friendship, Team Interest, Social Responsibility, Personal Morality, Company Rules & Procedures and Laws & Professional Codes) and the five dimensions of Organizational Citizenship Behaviors (e.g. Altruism, Courtesy, Sportsmanship, Conscientiousness, Civic Virtue). The relationships are analyzed by means of the data collected from 1174 empolyees working in the telecommunication sector in Istanbul. The results indicate that Benevolent Climates (Social Responsibility, Friendship) and Principled Climates (Company Rules & Procedures and Personal Morality) are positively related to OCBs. While Efficiency impacts OCBs positively, focusing on Company Profit effects OCBs negatively.
