Ağız içi porselen tamir sistemleri

Öz:
Sabit protetik rehabilitasyonda metal destekli porselen restorasyonlar günümüzde yaygın bir şekilde kullanılmaktadır. Porselenin estetik ve biyouyumluluk gibi avantajlarının yanı sıra, kırılgan bir malzeme olması en büyük dezavantajıdır. Porselen kırığında tedavi seçenek­lerinden biri olarak restorasyonun ağız dışı tamiri düşünülse de, bu zaman alıcı ve pahalı bir yöntemdir. Özellikle çok üyeli köprülerde protezin yerinden çıkarıl­ması sırasında destek dişlerde ve protezde meydana gelebilecek komplikasyonlar, restorasyonun ağız içi tamirini daha konservatif bir yaklaşım haline getirmektedir. Porselen yapımı ağız içinde gerçekleştirile­mediğinden alternatif tamir materyali olarak kompozitler kullanılmaktadır. Kompozitin, kırılma sonucu açığa çıkmış yüzeye başarılı bir şekilde bağlanması için öncelikle uygun bir yüzey hazırlığı yapılmalıdır. Kompozitin porselen-metal yüzeyine bağlanmasında, elmas frezle pürüzlendirme, air abrazyon, asitle pürüzlendirme ve silika kaplama gibi mekanik bağlanma yöntemleriyle birlikte, sılan, metal primer ve bonding gibi kimyasal ajanlar da kullanılır. Porselen tamirinin başarısı hizmet süresinin uzunluğuna ve optimum estetik sağlanmasına bağlıdır.

Intraoral porcelain repair systems

Öz:
Porcelain fused to metal restorations are widely used for the fixed prosthodontic rehabilitation. Although porcelain restorations have advantages such as high esthetic and biocompatibility, their brittleness is one of the most important disadvantages. In fractured porcelain, extraoral repair is regarded as a treatment method but it is time consuming and expensive. Especially in removal of multiunit bridges, some complications may occur involving with supporting teeth and porcelain; therefore, intraoral repair seems to be more conservative approach. Because intraoral repair of the restoration is not possible with porcelain, composites are used as repair materials. The suitable surface treatment should be made in order to achieve a succesfull bond between composite and fracture surface. To obtain enough bonding between composite and porcelain-metal surface, both mechanical methods such as diamond bur roughening, air abrasion, asit etching, silica coating and chemical methods including silane, metal primer and bonding agents are used. The success of porcelain repair is related to the longevity of the repaired restoration use and the opthimum esthetic outcome.
