Savunma biçimleri testi'nin psikometrik özellikleri: güvenilirlik ve geçerlik çalışması
Öz: Amaç: Bu araştırmada, Savunma Biçimleri Testi (SBT)'nin Türkçe formunun psikometrik özellikleri çalışılmıştır. Yöntem: Araştırmaya 190 kişi katılmıştır. Bu katılımcılardan 105 kişi sağlıklı grubu, Depresif Bozukluk ve Obsesif Kompulsif Bozukluk tanıları ile takip edilen 85 kişi de klinik grubu oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama araçları olarak, SBT, Beck Depresyon Envanteri (BDE), Sürekli Kaygı Ölçeği (SKÖ) kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: SBT?40'ın psikometrik özellikleri incelendiğinde, iç-tutarlılık katsayısı Olgun Savunma Biçimi, Nevrotik Savunma Biçimi ve İmmatür Savunma Biçimi için sırasıyla .70, .61 ve .83 olarak bulunmuştur. Ayrıca, her üç savunma biçimi için iki-yarım-test güvenirliği ve test-tekrar test güvenirliği katsayılarının kabul edilir olduğu bulunmuştur. SBT'nin ölçüt bağıntılı geçerliği kapsamında beklentilerle tutarlı olarak Olgun Savunma Biçimi depresyon ve kaygı belirtileri ile olumsuz korelasyon gösterirken, İmmatür Savunma Biçimi depresyon ve kaygı belirtileri ile olumlu korelasyon göstermiştir. Nevrotik Savunma Biçimi ise kaygı yakınmalarıyla olumsuz bir korelasyon gösterirken, depresif yakınmalarla gösterdiği ilişki anlamlı bulunmamıştır. Ölçeğin kriter geçerliği incelendiğinde, normal ve klinik gruplar arasında kullandıkları savunma biçimlerine göre beklenen yönde anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur.Sonuç: SBT-40'ın psikometrik özellikleri kabul edilir düzeydedir, yani bu test Türkiye'de yürütülen araştırmalarda kullanılabilir niteliktedir.

Psychometric properties of the defense style questionnaire: a reliability and validity study
Öz: Objective: To examine the psychometric properties of the Turkish form of the Defense Style Questionnaire (DSQ). Method: The study included 190 participants, of which 85 with a depressive disorder or obsessive-compulsive disorder diagnosis composed the clinical group, and 105 individuals without any psychiatric diagnosis composed the control group. Participants completed the DSQ, Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), and Trait Anxiety Scale (TAS).Results: As for the psychometric properties of the DSQ-40, the internal consistency of the mature, neurotic, and immature defense styles was 0.70, 0.61, and 0.83, respectively. Additionally, results revealed that the 3 defense styles had acceptable split-half reliability and test-retest reliability coefficients. Considering the concurrent validity, the mature defense style was negatively correlated with the symptoms of depression and anxiety, whereas the immature defense style was positively correlated with these symptoms. The neurotic defense style, on the other hand, had a positive correlation with anxiety symptoms, but did not reveal a significant correlation with depressive symptoms. The examination of criterion validity revealed results were consistent with our expectations. Significant differences were found in the expected direction between the control and clinical groups.Conclusion: The psychometric properties of DSQ-40 seem to be quite acceptable; therefore, this questionnaire can be utilized for research purposes.
