Kırkbeş yaş ve üzeri yetişkinlerin günlük yaşamda teknolojiyi kullanma durumlarının incelenmesi

Öz:

Giriş: Tanımlayıcı nitelikte olan bu araştırma, yaşlıların günlük yaşamda teknolojiyi kullanma durumlarını ve daha genç yetişkinler ile olan farklılıkları belirlemek amacıyla planlanmıştır.Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırma 45 ve yukarı yaşlarda olan Ankara ili Keçiören sağlık grup başkanlığı Barış Sitesi Sağlık Ocağı'na bağlı mahalleden basit rasgele örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 118, Hacettepe Üniversitesi'nin çalışan personel listesinden basit rasgele örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 167 olmak üzere toplam 285 kişi üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Bu çalışmada, 65 yaş üstü yaşlılar ile 45-54 ve 55-64 yaş grubundaki kişilerin evde teknolojik araçların kullanım durumları karşılaştırılarak incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel değerlendirmesi ki-kare analizi ile yapılmıştır.Bulgular: Araştırmada, 65 yaş ve daha üstü yaşlılar arasında evde teknolojik araçlara sahip olma ve sahip olunan teknolojik bir aracı yardımsız kullananların oranının 45–54 ve 55–64 yaş grubuna göre daha düşük olduğu bulunmuştur.Sonuç: Araştırma sonuçları yaşlıların daha genç insanlara göre teknolojiyi daha az kullandığını, teknolojik araçlar hakkında bilgilerinin daha az olduğunu ve araçların kullanımın kendilerine zor geldiğini göstermektedir. Ancak eğitim düzeyi ile kullanım süresi arttıkça teknolojiyi kullanma oranlarının da arttığı görülmektedir.

Technology usage of 45 and over age adults in daily life

Öz:

Introduction: This research is a descriptive study and was planned to determine technology usage of elderly and differences from the younger adults of elderly in daily life.Materials and Method: This research has been conducted in 285 people who were 45 and older people. Subjects has been selected by simple randomly method from Bar›fl Sitesi village clinic of Ankara (118) and Hacettepe University (167). The use of technology in daily living has been compared between 65 and older people and 45-54, 55-64 age groups. Statistical evaluation of data has been made with chi- square analysis.Results: It was founded that the ratio of use of technology was lower and the knowledge of technological devices was less and the ratio of use of the technological devices without help was lower than 45-54 and 55-64 age group.Conclusion: It was found that older people used the technology less than young people and they had less knowledge about technological devices and it is difficult to use of technological devices for older people than young people. However the ratio of the use of technology has been increased by increased education level and duration of use of technological devices.
