Metaverse ve dijital nefret söylemi: toksik içeriğin potansiyel yayılım örüntüleri ve proaktif çözüm önerileri hakkında bir tartışma

Metaverse ve dijital nefret söylemi: toksik içeriğin potansiyel yayılım örüntüleri ve proaktif çözüm önerileri hakkında bir tartışma
Öz: Toplumsal bir tehdit olarak nitelendirilebilecek dijital nefret söyleminin Metaverse’ün sürükleyici etkileşim olanakları kanalıyla sunduğu siber toplumsal uzamda risk potansiyeli taşıdığını belirtmek mümkündür. Çünkü dijital nefret söylemi hem yeni teknolojilere adapte olma hem de gündeme eklemlenme eğilimindedir. Ağlı kamu kavramı ekseninde nefret söyleminin dolaşıma girmesi üzerine düşünüldüğünde, nefret söyleminin gündemsel ve teknolojik adaptasyonunun, ağ bileşenlerini kullanarak bir kamuoyu yaratma riski ve kolektif bir dijital nefret fırtınasına yol açma tehlikesi oluşturduğundan söz etmek mümkündür. Bu çalışma Metaverse kavramının bileşenleri ve dijital nefret söyleminin doğasını koşut şekilde tartışarak, Metaverse’te dijital nefret söyleminin yaratabileceği potansiyel riskleri ortaya koymayı ve proaktif çözüm önerileri geliştirmeyi hedeflemektedir. Bu bağlamda yeterli regülasyonun sağlanamadığı bir Metaverse düzleminde nefret gruplarının kendilerine fon yaratmak üzere dijital paraları ve pazar yerlerini kullanması muhtemel risklerdendir; etkinlikler ve toplantılar nefret gruplarının fon oluşturması için bir araca dönüşebilme tehlikesi barındırmaktadır; nefret içerikli NFT’lerin mevcudiyetine ve alternatif kanallar aracılığı ile dağıtımına rastlanmaktadır; merkeziyetsiz yapılarda nefret söyleminin çerçevesinin çizilememesi ihtimali ortaya çıkmaktadır; dijital gerçeklik nefret söylemi travmasının daha derin bir şekilde deneyimlenmesi riskini ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Bu bağlamda kullanıcı kaynaklı karar alma mekanizmalarının geliştirilmesi, toksik içeriklere anlık müdahale etmek üzere çok kültürlü denetim mekanizmalarının oluşturulması ve kullanıcıların dahil edici bir kültürün parçaları olması yönünde eğitilmesi Metaverse’te nefret söyleminin engellenmesine yönelik önerilerdir.

Öz: Digital hate speech, which can be described as a social threat, carries risk potential in the cyber social space that Metaverse offers through new immersive possibilities. Because digital hate speech tends to adapt to emergingtechnologies and to actual issues. Considering the circulation of hate speech in terms of the concept of networked public, it is possible to stress that the agenda and technological adaptation of hate speech poses the risk of creating a public opinion by using network components and causing a collective digital hate storm. By conducting a literature review, this study aims to reveal the potential risks of digital hate speech in Metaverse and develop proactive solutions by discussing the components of Metaverse concept and the nature of digital hate speech. In this context, on the Metaverse where adequate level of regulation cannot be achieved, it is one of the possible risks that hate groups will use digital currencies and marketplaces to raise funds; events and meetings may be a threat as tool for raising funds; also hateful Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT)and their distribution through alternative channels exist; it is possible that the framework of hate speech cannot be drawn clearly in decentralized structures; digital reality technologies poses the risk of experiencing the trauma of hate speech deeper.Development of user-centred decision-making mechanisms, creation of multicultural control mechanisms to instantly respond to toxic content, and the training of users to be part of an inclusive culture are suggestions for prevention of hate speech in Metaverse.
