YABANCI TURİSTLERİN UNUTULMAZ TURİZM DENEYİMİNDE ALGILANAN OTANTİKLİĞİN ROLÜ

Öz:
Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, unutulmaz turizm deneyiminde (UTD) algılanan otantikliğin (AO) rolünü ortaya çıkarmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda veri toplama aracı olarak nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden anket tekniğine başvurulmuştur. Araştırma evrenini Kapadokya Bölgesi, örneklemini ise Nevşehir ilini ziyaret eden yabancı turistler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada Nevşehir ilini ziyaret eden yabancı turistlerle yüz yüze görüşmeler gerçekleştirilerek toplamda 389 kullanılabilir anket elde edilmiştir. Değişkenler arasındaki ilişkileri test etmek amacıyla SPSS istatistik programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, unutulmaz turizm deneyimi boyutları üzerinde algılanan otantikliğin pozitif yönde etkisi olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Otantiklik boyutlarından nesnel ve yapısal otantikliğin unutulmaz turizm deneyimi boyutlarını açıklamada anlamlı bir etkiye sahip olduğu, varoluşsal otantikliğin ise yerel kültür deneyimi haricinde diğer boyutları açıklamada anlamlı bir etkiye sahip olmadığı anlaşılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular çerçevesinde destinasyon paydaşlarına çeşitli tavsiyelerde bulunulmuştur.

THE ROLE OF PERCEIVED AUTHENTICITY IN THE MEMORABLE TOURISM EXPERIENCE OF FOREIGN TOURISTS

Öz:
The main purpose of this research is to reveal the role of perceived authenticity (AO) in the unforgettable tourism experience (UTD) of foreign tourists. For this purpose, questionnaire technique, one of the quantitative research methods, was used as a data collection tool. The universe of the research consists of foreign tourists visiting the Cappadocia Region, and the sample is tourists visiting the province of Nevşehir. In the research, a total of 389 usable questionnaires were obtained by interviewing foreign tourists visiting Nevşehir province. SPSS statistical program was used to test the relationships between the variables. According to the research findings, it has been determined that the perceived authenticity has a positive effect on the unforgettable tourism experience. Also it has been understood that objective and structural authenticity, which is one of the authenticity dimensions, has a significant effect on the unforgettable tourism experience dimensions, while existential authenticity does not have a significant effect on other dimensions except for the local cultural experience. Within the framework of the findings obtained in the research, various recommendations were made to the destination stakeholders.
