The effect of candidate teachers' educational and epistemological beliefs on professional attitudes

Öz:
Öğretmenin bilişsel yetenekleri, epistemolojik inançları ile betimlenirken; mesleğe yönelik tutumları, öğretme stilleri ve uyguladıkları disiplinel davranışları, eğitime yönelik inançlarıyla büyük ölçüde ilişkilidir. Öğretmen adaylarının eğitime yönelik inançları ile epistemolojik inançları arasındaki ilişkinin mesleğe yönelik tutuma etkisini belirlemeyi amaçlayan bu araştırma, tarama modelinde betimsel bir araştırma niteliğindedir. Araştırmada biyoloji, fizik, kimya ve matematik öğretmen adaylarının eğitime yönelik inançları ile epistemolojik inançları arasındaki ilişki incelenmiş ve söz konusu ilişkinin, öğretmen adaylarının, öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumları üzerine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırma, 2010-2011 öğretim yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesinde öğrenim görmekte olan 200 öğretmen adayı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada, Eğitime Yönelik İnanç Ölçeği, Epistemolojik İnanç Ölçeği ve Öğretmenlik Mesleğine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonunda, öğretmen adaylarının eğitime yönelik inançları ile epistemolojik inançları ve öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumları arasında anlamlı pozitif yönlü ilişkiler saptanmıştır. Ayrıca, Epistemolojik İnanç ile Eğitim İnançları Ölçeği'nin alt boyutları arasındaki ilişkilere de bakılmış ve pozitif anlamlı ilişkiler bulunmuştur.
