Diabetes Mellitus ve Gebelik
Öz: Doğurganlık çağındaki kadınlarda diyabet sıklığının artmasıyla birlikte, diyabetle, komplike gebeliklerin oranı da artmıştır. Gestasyonel diyabet gebelikte başlayan veya gebelik sırasında tanı konulan karbonhidrat intoleransı olarak tanımlanır. Gebeliğin en yaygın komplikasyonlarından birisidir. Gestasyonel diabetes mellitus; gestasyonel hipertansiyon, preeklampsi, sezaryen doğum ve onlarla ilişkili potansiyel morbiditeler için yüksek risk taşır. Gestasyonel diabetes mellitusla ilişkili neonatal medikal komplikasyonlar, neonatal hipoglisemi, hiperbilirubinemi, polisitemi, hipokalsemi ve respiratuar distrestir. Tüm gebelere 24.-28. gebelik haftasında gestasyonel diyabet taraması yapılmalıdır

Öz: With the increase in the prevalence of diabetes in women of reproductive age, the proportion of pregnancies complicated by preexisting diabetes is also increased. Gestational diabetes mellitus is a condition in women who have carbonhydrate intolerance with onset or recognition during pregnancy. It is one of the most common medical complication of pregnancy. Women with gestational diabetes mellitus are at higher risk for gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, and cesarean delivery and its associated potential morbidities. Neonatal medical complications associated with gestational diabetes include neonatal hypoglycemia, hyperbillirubinemia, policythemia, hypocalcemia and respiratory distress. All pregnant patients should be screened for gestational diabetes mellitus at 24-28 weeks of gestation.
