Sütçü ineklerde mastitis tedavisinde homeopatik ilaç kullanımının finansal analizi

Öz:

Bu çalışmada, sütçü ineklerde mastitis tedavisinde meme içi antibiyotik yerine homeopatik bir ilaç (Tarantula cubensis D6) kullanımının finansal etkisinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın gerecini, klinik mastitis tanısı konmuş 60 baş Holştayn ırkı inek oluşturmuştur. Çalışmada 33 baş ineğe homeopatik ilaç ve geri kalan 27 baş ineğe geleneksel meme içi antibiyotik uygulaması yapılmıştır. İneklerin tüm meme loblarından tedavi öncesi ve sonrasında süt örnekleri alınmış ve somatik hücre sayısı (SHS) ölçülmüştür. Her iki grupta tedavi öncesi ve sonrası ölçülen SHS değerleri tekrarlı ölçümlerde varyans analizi ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Ortalama SHS değerleri, homeopatik ilaç grubunda % 34 oranında, meme içi antibiyotik grubunda % 37 oranında azalmış ve bu düşüşler istatistiksel olarak önemli bulunmuştur (P<0.001). Mastitis tedavisinde, SHS değerlerini düşürmesi bakımından homeopatik ilaç ile meme içi antibiyotik uygulamasının etkinliği arasındaki fark istatistiksel olarak önemli bulunmamıştır (P>0.05). Mastitisin toplam tedavi maliyeti homeopatik ilaç grubunda 19 TL/baş; meme içi antibiyotik grubunda ise 119,31 TL/baş olarak gerçekleşmiştir. Sonuç olarak, homeopatik ilacın SHS'nı düşürmedeki etkinliği yanında finansal açıdan da meme içi antibiyotiklere alternatif olabileceği ve sahada mastitis tedavisinin maliyetini düşürebileceği sonucuna varılmıştır

Financial analysis of homeopathic medication remedy for the treatment of mastitis in dairy cow

Öz:

In this study financial effect of homeopathic remedy (Tarantula cubensis D6) instead of intramammary antibiotics was investigated in the treatment of mastitis in the dairy cows. The material of the study was consisted of 60 Holstein cows which were clinically diagnosed with mastitis. In the study 33 cows were treated with homeopathic remedy and a conventional intramammary antibiotic administered to remaining 27 cows. Milk samples were collected from each quarter and somatic cell counts (SCC) were measured before and after the treatments. Pre and post-treatment SCC values were compared using repeated measure analysis of variance in both groups. The mean of post-treatment SCC was reduced 34% in the homeopathic remedy group and, 37% in the intramammary antibiotics group and these declines were statistically significant (P<0.001). The difference between the homeopathic remedy and the intramammary antibiotics in terms of effectiveness on the reducing the SCC in the treatment of mastitis were not statistically significant (P> 0.05). The treatment costs of mastitis were TL 19/head and TL 119,31/head in homeopathic remedy and intramammary antibiotic groups respectively. As a result, beside the effectiveness in reduction of SCC, homeopathic remedy could be financially an alternative to intramammary antibiotic treatment and could be reducing the cost of mastitis therapy in the field.
