In our study the benthic macroinvertebrates that live in Lake Danamandıra were examined. Study was carried out at 15 different stations on November 2010, January, March and May 2011. As result of this study, Phylum (Mollusca, Annelida, Arthropoda), Classis (Gastropoda, Oligochaeta, Ostracoda, Malacostraca, Irısecta), Orders (Basommatophora, Lumbıiculida, Cyclopoida, Podocopida, Isopoda, Odonata, Coleoptera, Megaloptera, Diptera), 15 Families (Physidae, Lurnbriculidae, ubificidae, Cyclopidae, Cyprididae, Candonidae, Asellidae, Coenagrionidae, Cordulidae, Aeshindae, Hydrophilidae, Dytiscidae, Sialidae, Chironomidae, Tipulidae) and 17 species that belong to the families were found. These species are: Pysella acuta, Lumbriculus sp., Chaetogaster sp., Heterocypris incongmens, Fabaefarmiscandona fabaeformis, Asellus sp., Coenagrion sp., Cordulia sp., Anwc sp., Berosus sp., Helophorus sp., Enochrus sp., Hydrobiusfilscipes, Laccophilus sp., Sialis lutaria, Chironomus sp., Erioptera sp. In the study area, besides the benthic macroinvertebrates taxonomic study, physicochemical parameters of the lake (pH, electrical conductivity, water temperature, etc.) were measured and The Shannon-Weaver Diversity Index and Bray-Cuıits sirrıilaıity index were used for the numerical analysis of macroinvertebrates.
