Oyunlaştırma Bileşenlerinin Duygu, İlgi ve Çevrimiçi Katılıma Etkisi

Öz:
Teknolojinin gelişmesiyle birlikte dijital oyunlar da giderek dahageniş bir kullanıcı kitlesi tarafından tercih edilmeye başlanmıştır.Bu tercihe oyunların ilgi uyandırıcı tasarımları ve oyunlardanedinilen duygusal tatmin oldukça önemli etkide bulunmaktadır.Son yıllarda dijital oyunlara olan bu yönelim, oyuna ilişkin bazıözelliklerin oyun dışı ortamlara aktarılmasını da tetiklemektedir.Oyunlaştırma olarak ifade edilen kavram oyunlara ait özelliklerinoyun dışı bağlamlara uyarlanmasına vurgu yapmaktadır.Oyunlaştırma, son yıllarda birçok alanda yaygın olarakkullanılmaktadır. Bu alanların biri de eğitimdir. Buradan hareketlebu çalışmada, oyunlaştırma bileşenlerinin harmanlanmış öğrenmeortamlarındaki etkililiğinin duygu, ilgi ve çevrimiçi katılımbağlamında incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada, nicel ve nitelverilerin ilişkilendirilerek açıklandığı yakınsayan paralel karmadesen kullanılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda araştırma deney (n=30) vekontrol (n=33) olmak üzere 63 üniversite öğrencisiyle 13 haftalık birsürede gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın her iki grubuna da hemyüz yüze hem de çevrim içi olmak üzere harmanlanmış biröğrenme deneyimi sunulmuştur. Deney grubu yüz yüze ve çevrimiçi ortamda sunulan; yönergelerin verilmesi, ilerleme çubuğu,rozet, seviye, deneyim puanı, liderlik sıralaması, ödül, tamamlamaoranı, etkinlik tamamlama, etkinlik sınırlama ve etkinlikgeribildiriminden oluşan oyunlaştırma bileşenleri ile kontrolgrubundan ayrılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göreharmanlanmış öğrenme ortamlarında kullanılan oyunlaştırmabileşenleri katılımcılarda hem olumlu hem de olumsuz duygularaneden olmuştur. Bunun yanı sıra oyunlaştırmanın ilgi çekiciolduğu bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca grupların çevrimiçi ortamakatılım bağlamında harcadıkları ortalama zamanları arasındadeney grubu lehine anlamlı bir farklılığın oluştuğu görülmüştür.Bu bulguya ek olarak katılımcıların çevrimiçi ortamakatılmalarında ödülün, rekabetin, seviyenin, rozetin vekısıtlamanın etkili olduğu görülmüştür.
