TOPLUMUN SAĞLIK OKURYAZARLIK DÜZEYİNİN BELİRLENMESİ

Öz:
Sağlık okuryazarlığı; kişilerin sağlık hizmetleri, hastalıkların önlenmesi ve sağlığıngeliştirilmesi hakkında hedefler belirlerken ve birtakım kararlar alırken sağlık bilgilerine erişme,anlama, değerlendirme ve uygulamaya yönelik bilgilerini ve yeterliliklerini ifade etmektedir.Başka bir ifade ile sağlık okuryazarlığı temel olarak; bir hastaya tıbbi bir bilgi vermekistenildiğinde, bireyin bu bilgiyi anlayıp, yorumlaması ve buna uygun davranış göstermesi olaraktanımlanabilir Bu açıdan sağlık okuryazarlığı, toplumun sağlık statüsünde önemli bir roloynamaktadır.Bu çalışmada bireylerin sağlık okuryazarlık düzeyinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmış oluparaştırmanın evrenini Isparta il merkezinde 15 yaş ve üzerindeki bireyler oluşturmaktadır.Araştırmada kolayda örnekleme yöntemiyle 401 kişiye ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmada 2 bölümdenoluşan veri toplama aracı kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama aracının birinci bölümünde Türkiye SağlıkOkuryazarlık Ölçeği (TSOY-32), ikinci bölümünde demografik bilgiler yer almaktadır.Araştırma sonuçlarına göre sağlık okuryazarlığı düzeyi sınırlı sorunlu olarak tespitedilmiş; yaş arttıkça sağlık okuryazarlığı düzeyinin azaldığı, eğitim düzeyi ile ise doğru orantılıolarak arttığı belirlenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında cinsiyet ve gelir ile sağlık okuryazarlık düzeyiarasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamıştır. Bu çalışmada toplumun sağlık okuryazarlık düzeyininbelirlenmesi araştırılmıştır. Isparta il merkezinde yaşayan 15 yaş üstü okuryazar ve son 1 yıliçerisinde en az 4 defa sağlık kuruluşuna başvuran kişilere sağlık okuryazarlığı ve demografikdeğişkenlerden oluşan bir anket form yöneltilmiş; toplanan veriler değerlendirilmiştir.

DETERMINATION OF THE HEALTH LITERACY LEVEL OF THE SOCIETY

Öz:
Health literacy; refers to the knowledge and competencies of accessing, understanding, evaluating and implementing health information while setting goals for health services, prevention of illness and development of health and making decisions. Heath literacy as a general; when a patient is asked to give a medical information, it can be defined as an individual understanding, interpreting and behaving accordingly.Thus, health literacy plays an important role in the health status of the society. In this study, it is aimed to determine the level of health literacy of the community and the population of the research is composed of individuals aged 15 years and over in Isparta province. It has been reached to 401 people by convenience sampling method. The data collection tool consisting of 2 sections was used in the research. The first section of the data collection tool is Turkey Health Literacy Scale, the second section consists of demographic information. According to the results of the research, the level of health literacy decreases as the age increases and the level of health literacy increases as the level of education increases. There is no significant relationship between gender and income with health literacy level. The aim of this study was to determine the level of health literacy of the society.
