Anahtar Kelime: Bibliometric Profile of Scientific Research on Bacteriological Water Quality Studies in Turkey (1999-2019)
Öz: Academic monitoring studies, regulations and inspections are the most preferred methods in order to protect water quality and prevent pollution in coastal countries. However, in order to prevent and protect pollution, it is essential to know the nature of the aquatic areas and the water quality status. Scientific-based studies carried out for this purpose are published in national and/or international journals and constitute the basis for other researches. Being able to associate studies with similar studies is an important factor both for academic activities and for detecting the problems observed in similar ecosystems. In this study, which is one of the important topics of water quality, "the bacteriological water quality" into global research trends in the field, the last 5 years (2015-2019) in Turkey with studies published in this issue, "bibliometric analysis" was performed. In the main science areas "Agriculture and Biological Science" and "Environmental Science" in the title, held in Turkey it has displayed 213 papers. However, the research conducted in aquatic areas in Turkey is very limited as only 44 manuscripts have been identified and the results were interpreted using network analysis. The importance of such microbiological water quality studies in aquatic areas has once again become clear. It is obvious that there is a need for such scientific studies in our country, which will be accepted in international scientific journals and will be associated with public health.
