Ağız sağlığı alanında kullanılmak amacıyla sağlık kontrol odağı ölçeğinin oluşturulması

Öz:

Amaç: Araştırmamızın amacı sağlık davranışlarının kazanılmasını ve sürdürülmesini etkileyen faktörlerden biri olan ağız sağlığı kontrol inançlarını ölçmek için geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek geliştirmektir. Birey ve Yöntem: İlk aşamada; pilot çalışma, literatür taraması ve uzman grup görüşleri doğrultusunda 26 maddelik ölçek oluşturulmuştur, ikinci aşamada 165 kişilik örneklemde ölçek güvenirliği (Cronbach a ve test - tekrar test güvenirliği) ve geçerliği (yüzeysel, yapı ve kriter geçerliği) test edilmiştir. Bulgular: Ölçeğin Cronbach a değeri 0.80, test tekrar test korelasyon katsayısı r— 0.99 bulunmuştur. Faktör analizi sonucunda 1. İçsel, 2. Şans, 3. Dışsal I diş hekimi tarafından bilgilenme odaklı, 4. Dışsal I diş hekimi tarafından uygulama odaklı ve 5. Dışsal I 1. ve 2. sosyalizasyon unsurları olmak üzere 5 faktör saptanmıştır. Faktör 2 skorlanyla sağlık değeri ve bireysel ağız sağlığı değerlendirmesi arasında negatif korelasyon bulunmuştur. 4. faktörden yüksek puan alanlarda çürük şiddeti fazla, 1. faktörden yüksek puan alanlarsa ise daha az çürük diş sayısı ve daha sık diş hekimi kontrolü saptanmıştır. Yaşlılar, kadınlar ve düşük eğitim düzeyli bireyler daha fazla şans kontrol odaklıdır. Sonuç: Geliştirilen ölçek kabul edilebilir bir geçerlik ve güvenirlik göstermiştir.

The development of health locus scale for use in the field of oral health

Öz:

Aim: Aim of our study was to develop a valid and reliable scale to assess the beliefs of oral health locus of control, which is one of the factors in obtaining and attending the health behaviours. Subjects and Methods: At first stage, the scale of 26 items was generated by pilot study of expert panel solicitation and literature reviews. At the second stage, the reliability (Cronbach a coefficient and test - re test reliability) and validity (face, construct and criterion) of scale were tested in the sample of 165 participants. Results: Cronbach alpha coefficient of the scale was found. 80; test-retest correlation coefficient was r = .99. Factor analysis of the scale yielded five factors: namely, 1. Internal, 2. Chance, 3. External I Dentist - towards obtaining information, 4. External I Dentist - towards applying preventive practices and 5. External 11st and 2nd socialization elements. The negative correlation was found between the Factor 2 scores and health value and self ratings of oral health. While subjects with higher Factor 4 scores had higher caries severity, subjects with higher Factor 1 scores had lower caries and higher frequency of regular dental visit. Elderly subjects, women, and subjects with lower education level showed more "chance locus of control" beliefs. Conclusion: The developed scale demonstrated acceptable validity and reliability.
