Fonksiyonel Olmayan Tutumlar Ölçeği Kısa Formu (FOTÖ-17) Uyarlama Çalışması

Öz:
Çalışmanın temel amacı, FOTÖ-17'nin Türkçe Formu'nun normal örneklem için geçerlik ve güvenirliğini belirlemektir. Ayrıca; ölçekten alınan puanların yaş ve cinsiyet gibi demografik değişkenler açısından incelenmesi de çalışmanın diğer bir amacını oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi, 234 kadın (%49.6) ve 238 erkek (%50.4) olmak üzere toplam 472 kişiden oluşmaktadır. Yaş aralığı 18-60, yaş ortalaması 29.74'dür (S = 11.83). Çalışmada FOTÖ -17'nin yanısıra daha önce geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları yapılmış olan Kısa Semptom Envanteri, Otomatik Düşünceler Ölçeği ve Sosyal Karşılaştırma Ölçeği Kullanılmıştır. Yapılan açımlayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizleri sonucunda, ölçeğin orjinali ile tutarlı olarak "Mükemmelliyetçilik" ve "Bağımlılık" olarak adlandırılan iki yapı elde edilmiştir. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizinde elde edilen model uyum indekslerinin kabul edilebilir sınırlar içinde olduğu görülmüş; elde edilen diğer geçerlik ve güvenirlik değerleri de uygun bulunmuştur. Başka bir deyişle, ölçeğin fonksiyonel olmayan tutumları normal örneklem için geçerli ve güvenilir bir biçimde ölçtüğü söylenebilir

Öz:
The main purpose of the current study is to investigate the reliability and validity of the DAS-17 for a general population in Turkey. The investigation of the Scale in terms of demographic variables such as age and gender is an additional aim. The sample of the study consisted of 234 females (49.6%) and 238 males (50.4%), 472 participants in total. The age range was 18-60, while the mean age was 29.74 (SD = 11.83). The criterion measures consisted of the Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI), the Automatic Thoughts Questionnaire (ATQ), and the Social Comparison Scale (SCS), all of which have been shown to be reliable and valid instruments for the Turkish culture. The expoloratory and confirmatory factor analyses revealed a two-factor solution to be appropriate for the Scale, reflecting a similarity with the original structure. The two factors were named “perfectionism” and “dependency”. The reliabilty values for the total Scale and for the subscales were satisfactory. The validity analysis using the BSI, the ATQ and the SCS scores, all were significant in the expected direction. In sum, the current study revealed that the Turkish DAS-17 can be used as a reliable and a valid instrument to measure dysfunctional attitudes with non-clinical samples, in Turkey
