The Effect of Different Variables on Pre-Service Teachers’ Perceptions of Self-Efficacy on Environmental Education
Öz: This study aimed to investigate the perceptions of environmental education self-efficacy ofprospective teachers in terms of gender, grade level, academic average, environmental content,environmental membership and department variables. Descriptive research method, which is oneof the quantitative research approaches, was used. The study was carried out with 236prospective teachers studying in biology, science, geography and elementary education programsin the 2017-2018 academic year. In the study, an environmental education self-efficacy scale andpersonal information form was used. According to the findings of the research; there was nostatistically significant difference in perceptions of environmental education self-efficacy amongprospective teachers in terms of gender and environmental membership variables. It was foundthat the pre-service teachers' perceptions of environmental education self-efficacy differentiatedin terms of class level, academic average, taking lessons with environmental content anddepartment variables. The study showed the importance of the environmental and environmentalsubjects in undergraduate programs on environmental education self-efficacy perception. It wasalso found that pre-service teachers' perceptions of environmental education self-efficacychanged positively, especially as their grade level increases. The fact that pre-service biologyteachers who took the environmental content courses in undergraduate education had a lowerlevel of self-efficacy compared to other teachers was one of the most striking results of the study

Öğretmen Adaylarının Çevre Eğitimi Öz-Yeterlik Algılarına Farklı Değişkenlerin Etkisi
Öz: Bu çalışmada öğretmen adaylarının çevre eğitimi öz-yeterlik algılarının cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi, akademik ortalama, çevresel içerikli ders alma, çevreyle ilgili dernek üyeliği ve bölüm değişkenlerine göre araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Nicel araştırma yaklaşımlarından betimsel araştırma yöntemi kullanılan çalışma 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim yılında biyoloji, fen bilgisi, coğrafya ve sınıf eğitimi programlarında okuyan 236 öğretmen adayı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak çevre eğitimi öz-yeterlik ölçeği ve kişisel bilgi formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verilerinden elde edilen bulgulara göre; cinsiyet ve çevreyle ilgili dernek üyeliği değişkenleri bakımından öğretmen adaylarının çevre eğitimi öz-yeterlik algılarında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Ancak öğretmen adaylarının çevre eğitimi öz-yeterlik algılarının sınıf düzeyi, akademik ortalama, çevresel içerikli ders alma durumu ve bölüm değişkenlerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiği anlaşılmıştır. Bu çalışmadaki sonuçlardan, çevre eğitimi öz-yeterlik algısı üzerinde lisans programlarında okutulmakta olan her türlü çevre ve çevre konusu içerikli derslerin oldukça önemli olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının özellikle sınıf düzeyi arttıkça çevre eğitimi öz yeterlik algılarının da olumlu yönde değişim gösterdiği görülmüştür. Lisans eğitimlerinde en fazla çevresel içerikli ders alan biyoloji öğretmen adaylarının diğer öğretmen adaylarına göre kendilerini çevre eğitimi öz-yeterlik açısından daha düşük görmeleri bu çalışmanın yine en çarpıcı sonuçlarından biri olmuştur.
