Examining Elementary Students’ Attitude towards Learning Mathematics with Technology and Anxiety

Öz:
Purpose of this study was to examine elementary students' attitudetowards learning mathematics with technology and anxiety. In order toexamine students' attitude towards learning mathematics withtechnology, The Technology and Mathematics Attitude Scaledeveloped by Pierce, Stacey and Barkatsas (2007) was adapted Turkish. Results of the study revealed that there were four sub-dimensions,behavioral engagement (α=.77), mathematics confidence (α=.85),affective engagement (α=.82), attitude towards use of technology forlearning mathematics (α=.80). Also, elementary students’ attitudetowards mathematics were positive and they had low level of mathanxiety. There was a negative and significant relationship betweenstudents' attitude towards learning mathematics with technology andanxiety. Results showed the needs for research studies to examineelementary students’ attitude towards learning mathematics withtechnology and math anxiety.
