The aim of this study is to describe how the program looks at the cultural aspect of the program by determining the functions of the concept of culture in the Turkish Language and Literature Course Curriculum Program, which has been used since 2018 by the Ministry of National Education. In this study, a document analysis was carried out on qualitative data collection methods and the data were interpreted with the information obtained from descriptive analysis. After the literature review has been done to create the theoretical framework of the study, it is aimed to summarize the discourses of educational scientists, educators, folk scientists and anthropologists regarding the educational functions of culture by summarizing the definitions of culture according to certain beliefs and values. these concepts are the themes of the study. Then, this concept, which is the component of the educational functions of culture, is examined in terms of sentences, words, word groups in the whole program, the concept, these data which the themes pass, the number of citations and where they pass in the program are shown in two tables. As a result, the program aims to educate people who are active in all things related to cultural, cultural values, conscious of culture and active in cultural life; has planned the development of a personality that has assimilated the national, spiritual and cultural values, appreciated the universal values, appreciated and respected the social and cultural diversity, who had social and cultural participation with their cultural experiences, social backgrounds and who could use the information age technologies for cultural, social and / or professional purposes. . However, national acceptance of cultural and moral values in the program has been interpreted as an extreme generalization, because cultural diversity, culture, and relativity are relative concepts of culture and education. The program does not make any planning on the concepts that create the inequality in education, such as the cultural functions of education, which perceive the relative values as national and international, cultural differences, minority groups, different religion, language, ethnicity, rural life, socio-economic poverty and differences between the sexes. It was observed. The program covers the national and historical cultural heritage from the early periods of the Turkish literature until the 1980s, and the identification of the social, political, historical and mythological elements through the use of cultural patterns, the understanding of art in the texts and the movements of ideas. has planned to transfer aesthetic value and aesthetic cultural patterns.
